The Books

Nature Has Patterns.
So Do Humans.

Eight books exploring why people behave the way they do, how to read the pattern in the person across from you, and how best to communicate and interact with them.

By a former British diplomat with twenty years across thirty-eight countries who built and exited his own travel company, then spent four decades watching why talented people get stuck working together.

What This Is

Human behaviour is not random. Underneath the surface, there are thirteen recognisable ways of being. Each one carries a permanent strength the person was born with. Each one also carries a defensive version of that same strength that switches on when fear is running and switches off when fear lifts. The distance between those two versions, the defended one and the released one, is where most of life’s friction happens. In families. In teams. In organisations. Between nations.

The books name the thirteen. They show how they operate at every level from one person to a whole civilisation. They teach you how to recognise the one in front of you and speak to it in the language it can actually hear.

From Applied Practice

What It Has Produced

In live testing during March 2026, this approach produced a twenty-nine per cent response rate on cold corporate outreach against an industry standard of one to three per cent. Same platform. Same audience. Same number of messages sent. The only thing that changed was how the messages were written.

A tenfold improvement

Recorded in Why Nobody Is Buying

Leadership pairs reading the same pattern report on themselves have consistently said it matches who they actually are. The work is being applied with leadership teams in professional services, technology, and corporate finance.

The Humanistics Series

The Framework and How It Applies

The book that lays out the framework, plus four books that put it to work: inside organisations, on the front line of selling, between nations, and as a permanent part of how a company runs. Each book is written for a different reader and stands on its own.

If You Lead or Advise a Company

Three situations companies actually find themselves in. One book for each.

Your team has friction nobody can name.

You can feel that something is off. The engagement survey did not catch it. The off-site did not fix it. You want to see what is actually happening underneath the surface, properly and quickly, before deciding what to do about it.

Read They Cannot See ›

You have made everything else efficient. Just not your people.

You have already squeezed process, systems, supply chain, and finance. How well your people work together is the last part of the company you have not yet got hold of, and it may be where the biggest money still sits. The book argues this should be a permanent part of how the company runs, not a one-off project.

Read The Organisation Code ›

Your selling does not land like it used to.

Your team is following the playbook and the conversion is dropping. The same pitch works on some prospects and bounces off others. You want a method that reads who is in front of you and adjusts what you say so the yes actually comes.

Corporate Enquiry

Two Series. Different Readers.
Same Idea Underneath.

The eight books are not a sequence to be read in order. They are two separate things written for two different kinds of reader, both built on the same understanding of how people work.

The Personal Path

The Big-YOU Blueprint Series

For the reader who has done the therapy, the coaching, the courses, and still feels something fundamental is missing. Three volumes: The Game of You, Becoming Aware of the Big-YOU, and The Alignment Playbook. Read in any order that matches where you are.

The Working Framework

The Humanistics Series

For the reader who wants to understand the framework and put it to use. Humanistics lays it out. Four further books apply it: They Cannot See inside organisations, Why Nobody Is Buying in selling, The Diplomat’s Code between nations, and The Organisation Code as part of how a company runs.

I did not write one book in eight versions. I wrote two separate things for two different kinds of reader, both built on the same understanding of how people work. The personal series is for the reader who wants to live differently. The Humanistics series is for the reader who wants to understand it and put it to use. Each book is a door. John Morgan

About the Author

John Morgan is a former British diplomat with twenty years across thirty-eight countries, who built and exited his own travel company before developing the Big-YOU Blueprint and writing the book that lays out Humanistics.

His work with companies and their HR and leadership teams focuses on why talented people get stuck working together. The books come out of four decades of lived experience, a period of intensive applied practice with leadership teams, and a way of working that combines three things: lived human experience, careful pattern reading, and artificial intelligence used as a thinking partner.

Every report a company receives is reviewed personally by John before it goes out. This is not automated output.
