The Humanistics Diagnostic. Find Out What Is Really
Going On at Work
This is not a test. There are no right or wrong answers. You cannot fail this.
This short check-in helps you understand the hidden pattern that shapes how you work, make decisions, and handle pressure. At the end you will see a score showing how closely your work life matches who you really are, plus a personalised report that explains your pattern in plain English, what causes it, what it costs you, and exactly what to do about it.
Your individual answers are confidential. Your manager will not see what you selected. The organisation receives only a summary of overall team patterns, never individual responses.
☕ Grab a coffee or tea, find somewhere quiet, and give yourself 12 minutes.
The more honestly you answer, the more useful your report will be.
Welcome back. You were on Question 3. Pick up where you left off?
Go with your first feeling. If more than one answer fits, pick the one that feels truest most of the time. If none feel quite right, choose the closest - forcing yourself to pick often reveals more than you expect.
Part 1: How You Show Up
These first questions look at your day-to-day patterns at work. There are no trick questions. Just pick what feels most like you.
Quick Check-In
Good pace. Your pattern is already forming. Four more questions in this section, then we shift to what really drives you underneath.
Part 2: What Is Underneath
Nice work. Now we go deeper into the beliefs and habits driving your work patterns. These questions are more reflective. There is no wrong answer, just an honest one.
Nearly There With This Section
Your report is building nicely. Four more questions here, then we look at something most diagnostics miss entirely: how others actually experience you.
Part 3: The Mirror
Over halfway. These next 3 questions are different. They look at the gap between how you see yourself and how others experience you. This is often where the biggest insights come from.
Part 4: Your Five Vital Signs
Nearly there. These 5 questions measure your working life across purpose, energy, relationships, growth, and identity. Think of them as vital signs. Your report will show exactly where you are thriving and where you are running on empty.
Part 5: When the Mask Slips
Final 3 questions. These look at what happens when things get difficult, when your usual strategies stop working. Be honest here. This is the part most people find the most revealing.

Your Personal Report
Prepared for you
What is this number? This is your Alignment Probability: our informed estimate of how close you are to operating as the best version of yourself at work right now. It is based on your answers across five areas of your working life, the clarity of your main pattern, and how consistently your responses tell the same story. A lower score means more of your energy is probably being spent facing the wrong way. Think of it like a weather forecast: it shows the most likely conditions based on available data, and it improves with more information over time. This is a starting point for conversation, not a final verdict. The number is not measuring how good you are. It is measuring how much of your energy is aimed forward versus backward. A higher score means more of your superpower is facing the future. A lower score means more of it is facing the past. The superpower is the same at every score. The direction is what changes.
This chart shows how you scored across five areas that affect your working life. The further the gold shape reaches outward, the stronger that area is. The bars below show the same scores with a rating. Anything marked Blocked or Critical is where your pattern is having the most impact.
How Patterns Work
Your pattern is not a personality type. It is not a diagnosis. It is a description of how you communicate and operate, particularly under pressure.
Every pattern name has two words, and both matter. The second word is the Superpower: your natural ability. It has always been there. It does not need to be built or earned. It is who you already are. The first word is the State of Being: the state of being that is currently running that superpower. Not a character flaw. Not a life sentence. A state of being. And states of being change.
In fear, the State of Being runs the Superpower against you. The Architect plans endlessly and never starts. The Champion burns out carrying everyone. The Diplomat enforces peace at the cost of honesty. In flow, the same Superpower runs at full capacity. The planning becomes foresight. The drive becomes infectious. The diplomacy becomes facilitation. Same person. Same ability. The only thing that changes is the state of being.
This is the Aligned Shield Principle: the shield and the booster are the same instinct, running on different fuel. Same superpower, different state of being, opposite outcome.
Think of a travelator at an airport. It moves in one direction. Always forward. In fear, you are walking against the travelator. Enormous energy, going nowhere. Pattern aware, you stop fighting and stand on it. You are moving forward at the natural pace. In flow, you walk with the travelator. Everything accelerates. Same person. Same energy. Different direction. Reading this report is the moment you see which direction you are facing. That is where change begins.

This shows every pattern detected in your answers and how strongly each one appeared. The longer the bar, the more questions you answered in a way that matches that pattern. Your primary pattern (at the top) is the one that drives most of your behaviour. If multiple patterns have similar bar lengths, it means your pattern is complex and you may relate to several descriptions.
How Your Score Was Calculated
Pattern Detection (Questions 1-16): Each of the first 16 questions maps to one or more of the 13 alignment patterns. The pattern you selected most frequently became your primary archetype. Your answers reveal which patterns are most active in how you work and relate to others.
Sub-Archetype (Layer 2 Questions): After your main pattern was identified, you answered 3 targeted questions to determine your specific version of that pattern. This is why your report can be so precise about the root cause.
Five Dimensions (Questions 20-24): Each dimension (Purpose, Energy, Relationships, Growth, Identity) was measured by one dedicated question with four response levels. Because each dimension relies on a single self-reported question, these are directional indicators rather than precise measurements. They show where to look, not a definitive score.
Your Alignment Probability: This number combines five components: how you scored across the five vital signs (counts for 40% of the total), how consistently your pattern and vital signs tell the same story (15%), the consistency of your responses across all questions (20%), your self-awareness signals (15%), and genuine engagement with the assessment (10%). There are no free points - every component is earned from your answers. We then compare your score against real results from deeper diagnostic conversations to make sure it is as accurate as a questionnaire can be. The score ranges from 20% to 85% because no questionnaire can produce certainty at either extreme. This is our informed bet about where you sit today, and it becomes more accurate when combined with a deeper diagnostic conversation.
Perception Gap: Question 17 asked how you think your manager would describe your development area. This was compared with your actual primary pattern to detect blind spots. A perception gap does not mean you are wrong about yourself. It means there may be a conversation worth having.
Your Development Pathway
Based on your pattern, here is what your organisation can support you with. If any of these interest you, mention it to your manager in your alignment conversation. They have more detail in their coaching guide.
What Happens Next
Your organisation has invested in this diagnostic to support your development. A Managerial Coaching Manual based on your pattern is available for you to download and share with your manager. It gives them the tools to support your growth. Both of you see the same information. Nothing is hidden. This is about your growth, not performance management.

Why Your Organisation Is Doing This
This diagnostic is not a box-ticking exercise. When a whole team completes it, the patterns between people become visible. Your organisation can see where communication breaks down, where silent tensions are building, and why certain teams always seem to struggle. Your honest answers contribute to that bigger picture whilst keeping your individual responses completely confidential.
